Founder, board member, and operator focused on credit, payments, and regulated fintech.
I founded Self Financial to help people establish and rebuild credit—scaling it from idea to a nationally recognized platform serving millions. Along the way, I’ve worked closely with regulators, investors, and operators to navigate balance-sheet risk, consumer protection, and growth under constraint. Today, I serve as a board member and advisor to fintech and financial-services companies, with a particular interest in:
• Credit access and underwriting in thin-file and subprime markets
• Regulated product design (bank vs. non-bank models)
• Building platforms that can scale responsibly over decades, not cycles
I’m motivated by problems that are structurally hard, and by teams willing to engage reality with intellectual honesty.
Outside of work, I’m a husband, father, and lifelong student of systems—financial, mathematical, and human.
